The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at 澳门十大电子游戏大全 helps students from historically disadvantaged communities prepare for college by understanding what courses to take, how to apply and receive financial aid and how to connect with campus resources.

Many students do not apply for admission to college because no one in their family has ever attended college or because college seems too expensive. The Educational Opportunity Program strives to improve the access, retention and graduation of students who have been historically disadvantaged, either socially or economically. EOP assists students by providing mentorship, 学术项目, 金融援助, counseling/advising and other campus support services. EOP serves California residents from all ethnic backgrounds and Native American students from any state.

Additionally, freshman EOP students are invited to participate in the Special Transitional Enrichment Program (STEP). The program begins in summer and continues through the first two academic years, offering preparatory course work, developing academic skills and providing advising. It helps students adjust academically and socially to the campus by strengthening their learning skills and study habits, and by providing an extensive orientation to campus life.
